When, years ago, Sue and I ran an art, picture framing and printing business near to Lincoln, I used to show this image to aircraft enthusiasts (I did quite a bit of aviation photography) and asked them to guess which aircraft it was. People rarely recognised the aircraft from my photograph. The aircraft is the Short Sunderland, a massive flying boat. The Sunderland in my photograph can be found at the Imperial War Museum Duxford.
